Gifted and Talented (GT)

Grades K-12

Every Arlington ISD kindergartner is universally screened for GT services with a portfolio of student work, assessments and planned learning experiences; students placed in a talent pool are screened further. Second and fourth graders are also universally screened. Students can be referred at any time (parent referral forms come from the campus GT Lead Teacher or counselor), and referred students are formally assessed at least once a year. A committee of at least three trained campus educators decides, using at least three criteria.
