Grades K-8

Jefferson Elementary offers GATE identification in grades 2-8 three ways: a qualifying OLSAT-8 score, district CAASPP criteria, or a teacher recommendation/portfolio. For 2026-27 the OLSAT-8 is offered in the fall (grades 3-8) and spring (grades 2-7); second graders can test only in the spring. Students who took the OLSAT-8 in the past three years cannot retest.
