Grades K-12

Los Alamitos screens all 3rd graders for GATE (with parent consent given at fall conferences) using the OLSAT, given at each school in January and February. Grades 4-7 can be screened each year on teacher or parent request. A committee reviews OLSAT results with work samples and achievement records; GATE identification begins in 4th grade.
