Lubbock Independent School District: gifted testing
Gifted and Talented (G/T)
Grades K-12All Lubbock ISD 2nd graders take a short screener in the fall that predicts verbal, nonverbal and quantitative potential; students who reach the qualifying score are automatically referred for full evaluation (with parent permission). Any K-12 student can also be referred by a parent, teacher, community member or themselves: grades 1-12 are tested in the fall semester and kindergarten in the spring. Students can be referred and evaluated once a year.
