McKinney ISD universally screens all kindergartners in October, with reports to families in December. Grades 1-2 have a fall referral window (closed September 24, 2026; testing November-January), and grades 3-5 a referral window that closes January 20, 2027, with testing February-June. Late referrals are not accepted. Results are mailed home.
