Grades K-12

Torrance universally screens all 3rd graders in the fall with the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT3); 4th and 5th graders who are new or have tested only once can opt in. Students at the 95th percentile or higher qualify in the Intellectual category; a second High-Achievement review uses CAASPP results. For 2026-27, forms are due October 2, 2026 and results are mailed in February 2027.
